About Oivi

Oivi is an ambitious and young medtech company developing a technology to overcome a huge challenge that impacts the lives of millions of people with diabetes. Our vision is to bring to market a low-cost artificial intelligence enabled fundus camera and automated diagnostics platform for early screening of Diabetic Retinopathy. Who are we looking for?

Oivi is looking for uniquely talented individuals that combine skills and experience with drive and passion for what they do. You must be self-driven and should have the ability to interact and engage with cross-cultural teams. You have a keen eye for design and passion for creating amazing user experiences. You are interested in user testing and iterative design. 

We are big on sharing knowledge, especially around how we work together across borders.

We are looking for someone who currently lives in Bangalore, India. It's not that it's important for us to hire people who live in a particular location, but this particular role needs access to users and market segments in India and so it matters where you live. However, you should be open to travelling to Norway when appropriate.

The salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.

We need someone who can start as soon as possible and ideally work full-time. Both freelancers and those looking for a permanent position are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Create digital assets, graphics, animations, wireframes and interactive mockups for UI.
  • Design and test user interfaces and translating insights back into design solutions.
  • Work with front-end developers and the research team to bridge the gap between design insights and technical implementation.
  • Manage the design system and language across platforms and maintain consistency for products.
  • Develop user flows and identify ways to improve user experience.
  • Collaborate on all phases of the UX and product design process (conducting user research, finding growth opportunities, pitching features, prototyping, testing)
  • Assist in design-oriented decisions, workshops and research.
  • Contribute to developing the design system; typography, iconography, colour, grid, and design components.
  • Working closely with the technical team and the research process to ensure that UI/UX is well tested and properly implemented.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
  • Help develop Oivi’s design culture through interaction and collaboration with external designers/teams.
  • Contribute to marketing / visual design or other design related activities when needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in UI/UX design.
  • Strong technical visual design skills.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience using design and prototyping tools like Adobe Suite, Figma, etc.
  • Education within design - BCA, HCI or similar
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry is a plus.
